Iight first off this is a sidebar, but my apologies for the delay. Life is mad wild, its fun but it gets busy you know, but no worries from now on I'm def gonna make it a priority to make sure the blog is on point but any way I digress back to my main point of this post.
Okay now here's the thing that's got me buggin a lot of people have been trying to play my man Kanye because of his new album. Here's my whole view on the thing: music is supposed to be real, we need it to live and as a true artist you have to be able to express your life and how your feeling and thats one thing I've always admired in Kanye. No matter what happens he always sticks to him, no matter how new innovative or risky he does him. Stronger for example crazy new and innovative and it ended up being one of his biggest successes to date. Graduation was lyrically solid and productionally genius, and for all you saying it was production minded only step your fan game up too fam b/c the lyrics were on point "I'm like a fly Malcolm X, I buy any jeans neccessary." Plus even though they both held it down he flexed Lil Wayne on "Barry Bonds." But back to the point Late Registration was solid too had new songs and personal insight in songs like "Roses," it's just another example of Kanye doing Kanye and showing you who he is. Also he definately got closer to his fans and the fans showed him much love for it. College drop out he spazzed on it the entire album was crazy lyrics, production, and that soulful CHI-Town vibe. Any way you look at it Kanye has always been a stabple in music and he's always been the future.
So please somebody anybody explain to me "WHY WOULD ANYBODY DOUBT HIM AND SAY HE'S FALLING OFF NOW" for real come on. This is another stage in the evolution of music. I'm not gonna lie at first i thought T-Pain was garbage, I thought he couldnt sing and it was all a gimmick. But as time went on I saw the man could make a hit and he didnt need Auto Tunes it was just an added effect to add to the whole experience. And with that I had to respect the people who used it after him and put the time in to learn it, instead of picking it up half ass because they thouhgt it would help them sell A Millie. So Lil Wayne big ups, same to you Chris Brown and Kanye, way to put the time and effort in to perfect your craft. Ron Brown's "Pop Champaign" was dope don't get me wrong, but it could have been crazy live if he just took the time to perfect Auto Tunes.
But back to Kanye, the quality definately didnt go down with this new album, and it is definately not a gimmick it is just a new platue for him to reach. Another opportunity to attract haters in his fake fans and fellow artist, and then to dismiss them on wax. I mean you heard go hard he did that in the same time span as his album! So there's no way he lost it! He's just flexing another part of his artistry as a whole.
So I know conceptual albums aren't for everybody but listen to his album, don't skim through really listen then give me some feedback. I promise you if you listen to the concepts, the voice and the lyrics then you'll get it.
